Your work is hard to read, and I say this as a compliment, because every sentence is packed full of complex and novel ideas. It needs to be read slowly, one sentence at a time.

The abundance of grievance media, fiction, "studies", shows, etc. that reinforce this idea for women and other groups that it is always and forever an exagerrated version of early 20th century America, ensures that those groups NEVER have agency or responsibility.

As innocuous as they seem, the grievance products lock in our dynamic, whereby the groups that can actually have the power to change this horrible culture we are in, are given eternal excuses to deny having that power, and ability to continue to abuse the power they do have. And the grievances make them defensive and prickly and insecure, traits that lead to further abuse and denial.

I mean why else would someone consume feel-bad stories like "Handmaid's Tale", unless stories like that provided some covert benefit?
